What does "5,000 in 5" mean?
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the CFCA National Council unveiled a bold Strategic Vision at the start of 2024—one that calls for significant growth and renewed mission. This vision sets an ambitious goal: to double our adult membership from 2,500 to 5,000 and expand our
presence in parishes from 80 to 160 within five years, culminating in 2028.
Our rallying cry, "5,000 in 5", is more than a goal - it’s a shared commitment to strengthen our faith community, expand our outreach and embrace the mission God has set before us.
Why "5,000 in 5"?
Jesus commands us
Jesus calls us to mission:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
(Matthew 28:19)
The world needs us
As families in the Holy Spirit, we are called to renew the face of the earth. Now more than ever, we must reignite our passion for evangelization and bring the light of Christ into a broken world.
It is our calling
Evangelisation is at the heart of our faith and our life in CFCA. It is our call, our duty, and our privilege as followers of Christ.
It is a gift from God
The Strategic Vision of "5,000 in 5" is a divine calling. As we embrace it, we will grow closer to God, experience deep gratitude, and find true joy in His service.

Strategic Imperatives
As we embark on our strategic vision, the National Council, in collaboration with the Area
Leaders, has identified five key imperatives that serve as its anchor. These imperatives are
essential to realizing the strategic vision.
Courageous Evangelisation
We are called to fearlessly share the Gospel, embracing creativity and boldness in our
outreach efforts. Every member is a witness to the faith, actively seeking new and innovative ways to evangelise, invite, and engage with others.
Transformational Leadership
We are committed to developing leaders who inspire and drive meaningful change. This means fostering a culture of innovation in ministry, mentoring emerging leaders, and providing ongoing formation and training to cultivate servant leaders who serve with humility and purpose.
Lived-out Community & Culture
We strive to be faithful to our covenant by actively participating in community life and embodying the values and culture of CFCA in our daily interactions. Our commitment strengthens our unity and reinforces our shared mission.
Proactive Promotion of our Community
We actively promote CFCA by engaging with the broader community through modern media, technology, and personal outreach. By sharing success stories, testimonials, and impactful experiences, we establish a strong presence and identity that reflects our mission.
Spiritual Nourishment
We prioritise faith formation through personal and communal prayer, the sacraments, spiritual retreats, and reflective opportunities. By nurturing our spiritual lives, we deepen our connection with God and strengthen our commitment to our mission.
