We are honoured and humbled that our recent CFCA National Conference has been featured in The Catholic Leader.
The Catholic Leader is an Australian award-winning Catholic newspaper that has been published by the Archdiocese of Brisbane since 1929. They seek to provide a full, accurate and balanced Catholic perspective of local, national and international news while upholding the dignity of the human person.
The article about the 2026 CFCA National Conference can be read here: https://catholicleader.com.au/news/qld/hundreds-celebrate-a-commitment-to-faith-and-jesus-christs-values/.
The article gives some highlights from Archbishop Shane Mackinlay's homily on the last day of the Conference.

In his homily, he said Christian families were called to be places of welcome, truth and mercy – “places in which peace can grow”.
“Being consecrated in the truth doesn’t mean that we have all the answers. Or that life is easy or that faith removes every struggle,” Archbishop Mackinlay said.
“Rather it means learning to listen deeply and respectfully to one another’s stories and allowing Christ to re-interpret those stories in the light of his death and resurrection.”
The article also told the story of how CFCA in Queensland is celebrating their 30th anniversary and how the community has grown through the years. We used this as an opportunity to also speak about our community and our vision for the years ahead.

The story from CFCA QLD members, Lucille and Carmelino Satinitigan, on how they have grown through the community is definitely inspirational.

We also took the opportunity to speak about our Christian Life Program and our household meetings. We pray that this article leads to more engagement with those seeking to grow in faith as a family just as we all are in CFCA.
