The Family Ministries

One of the pillars of CFCA is the Family Ministries. The Family Ministries of Couples for Christ Australia are composed of:
CFCA Kids for Christ Australia (KFCA) - for boys and girls from ages 5 to 11.
CFCA Youth for Christ Australia (YFCA) - for young adults from ages 12 – 17.
CFCA Singles for Christ Australia (SFCA) - for single (never married) men and women from ages 18 – 35).

CFCA Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD) – for single (from 36 years of age), widowed, divorced or separated women or who are married but their husbands are not ready to join CFCA.
CFCA Servants of the Lord (SOLD) - for single (from 36 years of age), widowed, divorced or separated men or who are married but their wives are not ready to join CFCA.

​CFCA is a “womb to tomb” ministry as it caters for all members of the family.  Through its programs and activities, it provides:

  • continuity in spiritual formation and pastoral support as they transition from one ministry to another;

  • assurance of a familiar environment and community culture for the full length of one’s earthly life; and

  • continued growth in their relationship with the Lord and in their pursuit of life in holiness.

The National Family Ministries Core Group

 

In 2017, the National Family Ministries Core Group (Core Group) was established. The role of the NFMCG is to ensure the peace, order and good governance of the family ministries in all states.

It covers a range of functional activities including strategic planning, advocacy, representation, and policy development.

​The Core Group oversees the performance and delivery of family ministry programs through the assignment of family ministry portfolios.  Its focus is at a high level – strategic rather than operational.  It sets the overall direction and goals then monitor their implementation and success.
