NSW Family Day: Calamari Games Fun Day

Updated: Oct 18

By Sis. Tootsie Domingo for NSW North Cluster

A day of laughter, games, and togetherness for families across NSW.

The Calamari Games brought families, friends, and our wider community together for an

unforgettable Squid Game–inspired Family Fun Day!

While the original show turned childhood games into something dark, we transformed them into joyful, safe, and laughter-filled experiences that reminded everyone of the simple happiness found in play, connection, and togetherness.

The day overflowed with excitement and smiles. Children, adults, players, and non-players all shared in the fun, laughter, and friendly competition.

Adding to the magic, soldiers” in animal masks guided the games, cheered everyone on, and created a whimsical, playful atmosphere that brought out the childlike joy in all of us.

Our Goal:

To include everyone, provide meaningful games for children and adults, and strengthen family and community bonds through fun, fellowship, and shared joy.

Each game was thoughtfully executed with energy and teamwork, keeping the day running smoothly and full of delight.

To cap off the celebration, a raffle draw gave both players and nonplayers the chance to win prizes, adding an extra spark of excitement and reward for everyone who participated.

The true highlight of the day was seeing our community members’ radiant smiles, full of laughter, connection, and pure joy. Moments like these remind us of the power of community — of how coming together, celebrating together, and sharing simple joys can leave lasting memories and touch hearts deeply.

Yes, it took effort, planning, and energy, but every moment was absolutely worth it, because we experienced the joy of unity, laughter, and togetherness.

All for the glory of God!
