Love in Action - CFCA SA (South Chapter, West Unit): Reaching Out with Compassion This Christmas

“Love in Action” is more than a phrase—it is the heart of our outreach ministry and the guiding spirit behind our Christmas mission to serve those in need. Rooted in compassion, dignity, and practical care, Love in Action seeks to turn faith into tangible support for individuals and families in the community who could benefit from extra support at this time. 

This Christmas, the CFCA SA west unit came together to prepare and distribute Christmas bags to people from the Western suburbs. Each one was thoughtfully packed to bring not only seasonal cheer, but also practical help during a time that can be especially challenging for many. Inside every Christmas bag was a hamper containing basic food items, offering nourishment, relief, and reassurance that they are not forgotten.

Love in Action reminds us that outreach is not just about giving things, but about standing in solidarity with others. It is about listening, showing up, and responding with empathy. Through these Christmas hampers and the dedication of our volunteers, love was made visible—expressed through simple yet powerful acts of service.

As we reflect on this outreach, we are reminded that when a community comes together with open hearts and willing hands, love truly becomes action.
