CFCA Victoria convened as one big family during the sector gathering on at Saint Peter Chanel Hall, Deer Park Victoria. The event was hosted by bro Bobby Mathew - FM National Director. Bro Jun San Jose, Area head commenced with an exultation as he put forward the strategic plan/vision of the community “5000 in 5” which he linked from biblical passages from John’s gospel “Jesus feeds the 5000 men”, and from Luke” Jesus calls for his disciples”. Bro Jun reiterated that although the task ahead of us is enormous and seems scary, like the disciples we need to fully trust the Lord and not be afraid to do what is asked of us, for God’s mission is also our mission-to catch people and bring others closer to him.
Likewise, in relation to feeding the 5k people, it also anchors to trusting God fully in his miracles and provisions, because he will always give us enough that we can handle. In his conclusion, he emphasized that we are one CFCA, and as a community we all belong, none should be left out. The character of an Olympian should be imbued with us and win gold medals for the lord.
Furthermore, with 9 sharers from every chapter both young and adult alike, God’s majestic glory was testified. Transformed and touched by God’s grace, our brothers and sisters braved to share their life experiences and God’s encounter in their lives. Indeed, these sharing’s were a testament of God’s great love and mercy in the midst of nowhere and suffering. Hearing all these testimonies, it is simply reminding us that “True transformation begins when we let go of our fears. When we fully accept, trust and rely on God in our lives, only then we experience a real and deep sense of peace.
Also, a community prayer of healing was offered to some members led by bro Jun followed by welcoming the new leaders and members.
In line with financial reporting, bro Bobby partially shared the financial standing of the community. He also reminded and encouraged everyone to share God’s blessings generously, 3 T’s-time, talent and treasure.
The LIA headed by bro Bong and sis Miles Locsin also put forward their current financial status and accomplishment including the national project about 'Kalingap' which is building shelter for abandoned elderly in Tagaytay.
The assembly was well attended and was concluded with a joyful fellowship over an abundance of food. Sharing some of our lovely photos.
