An Evening of Joy, Talent, and Family Our Youth for Christ Variety Night Shines!

YFCA Victoria's "Variety Night 2025 - Back in Time" was an unforgettable celebration! On 11 October, the talented young people of our ministries lit up the stage at the St. James Paulist Centre with incredible performances, vibrant colours, and infectious joy. It was more than a show—it was a powerful display of the God-given gifts that make our community so special.

The event was coordinated by our dedicated Youth couple coordinators, bro Mick and sister Shiela Nuestro, the evening was a beautiful tapestry woven with talent, faith, and fellowship. From the very beginning, the goal was clear: to create a space where our young people could shine and where our entire church family could come together to cheer them on.

A Stage Full of Stars

The night kicked off with our dynamic emcees from the Youth for Christ, who had the room laughing from the start with their warm and witty banter. They guided us through an unforgettable lineup.

We were moved by powerful solo and group songs that lifted our spirits. We were mesmerized by energetic dance numbers that told stories of faith and celebration through every step. The talent on display was incredible, but what was even more special was the courage and passion each young person demonstrated. It wasn’t about perfection; it was about offering their best to God and to their community.

One of the most heart-melting moments of the night came from our youngest members, the Kids for Christ. Their performance, full of innocent enthusiasm and adorable choreography, reminded us all of the simple, pure faith that Jesus calls us to have. The room erupted in applause, not just for their cuteness, but for the beautiful future of our church they represent.

A Family That Performs Together

Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, we witnessed a powerful testament to our community’s support. The Couples for Christ, our pillars of strength and wisdom, took to the stage with their own band! They filled the room with beautiful songs, getting everyone clapping along. Seeing them sing and even dance with such joy sent a powerful, unspoken message to our youth: We see you, we are with you, and we are so proud of you. It was a beautiful picture of the entire Body of Christ—from the youngest to the "young-at-heart"—worshipping and celebrating together.

More Than a Show: A Mission of Love

Beyond the spotlight and the cheers, this wonderful evening was also a tremendous fundraiser for our Youth Ministry. The generous hearts of our community were on full display, ensuring that our youth have the resources they need to continue growing in faith and fellowship. The success of this event paves the way for more life-changing activities and outreach.

The true magic of the night, however, wasn't just in the funds raised or the talents showcased. It was in the shared laughter, the collective gasps of amazement, and the thunderous applause that echoed through the hall. It was in the sight of grandparents, parents, and children all sharing the same joyful experience. It was a living, breathing example of what it means to be a church family.

A heartfelt thank you to every single person who made this night possible. To the incredible youth who braved the stage, to the Kids for Christ who stole our hearts, to the Couples for Christ who showed up in such a supportive and fun way, and to every volunteer behind the scenes—thank you.

Your passion, hard work, and love for our young people were the engine behind this beautiful evening. You have shown us what is possible when we come together in faith and fun.
