About the event
“Consecrate in the Truth, Be Christ to Others”
Grace and peace to you in our Lord Jesus Christ.
In this sacred season of Lent, the Church invites us to a deeper spirit of prayer, conversion, and renewal. With this in mind, we are pleased to extend to you a formal invitation to attend our Lenten Retreat, a dedicated time of reflection and spiritual strengthening as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of the Paschal Mystery.
Our retreat theme is: “Consecrate in the truth, be Christ to others.”
This theme calls us to allow the Word of God to shape our minds and hearts, to live with integrity as disciples of Jesus, and to become credible witnesses of His love in our homes, workplaces, and community. Lent is a providential time to return to what is essential—repentance, reconciliation, and a renewed commitment to holiness—so that we may more faithfully reflect Christ to those around us.
Retreat Details
Date: Sunday, 8 March 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Venue: Tooheys Room, 841 Hunter Street, Newcastle West
All parishioners are warmly encouraged to attend. Whether you are able to come for the entire retreat or for part of the afternoon, your presence will be most welcome. This gathering is intended to provide a prayerful environment where we can step away from the demands of daily life, listen attentively to the Lord, and be renewed in faith, hope, and charity.
May this retreat be a grace-filled opportunity for each of us to be consecrated in the truth of Christ and to be strengthened in our mission to bring His light to others. We entrust this time of spiritual renewal to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that she may lead us ever closer to her Son.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Yours sincerely.
